Restrepo Documentary

Restrepo, a documentary film directed by Tim Hetherington (British photojournalist) and Sebastian Junger (American journalist) who tells the story of a platoon of U.S. soldiers caught in a war the Taliban in Afghanistan. The movie focuses on a remote 15-man outpost, "Restrepo," named after a soldier who was popular, Juan Restrepo, who was killed at the beginning of the battle. The film stars by The Men of Battle Company 2nd of the 503rd Infantry Regiment 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Juan 'Doc Restrepo and Dan Kearney.

Restrepo completely removed from experience, A year with one platoon in the deadliest valley in Afghanistan, told Platoon of Battle Company on a 15 month deployment in the Korengal Valley of northeast Afghanistan. The Korengal Valley regarded as the deadliest place on Earth, where they must perform a very dangerous mission Operation Rock Avalanche, who have suffered tragic consequences with the view of the dead, both civilians and soldiers, as well as emotional suffering that must be felt soldiers remaining .

From the film we can captures the physical trauma and psychological due to 'War is Hell' and a tribute to the soldiers who are put through hell. But behind the happiness and pride with the inclusion of this film to be nominated for an Academy Award as Best Documentary Film and Hetherington has won an Oscar nomiasi 2011, there is grief over the sad news of the war that brought Libya, Tim Hetherington was killed in the town of Misrata, Libya on Wednesday (20/04/2011). We have lost a brave photographer as well as filmmakers who are very creative and talented. Hopefully he gets the best place in the side of God.
