Facebook Numbers Game

I do not know what is meant by Facebook numbers game? Is this a new type of game on Facebook? Or an article about the number of games that exist on Facebook? I tried to find information about this, but the answer does not make me understand well.
Some say, basically it's a game where you just send anyone playing a random number of your choice to their inbox and in response theys update their status with the number you sent them and something about you. You send the same number to everyone you send it to in Facebook Numbers Game.
It really makes me confused how to practice. But it is said, here's the rules: You post a number as your status and your friends will say something about you but they will not mention your name, only the number that you mentioned in your status update. This way, other people will find it hard to know who that person is talking about.
It seems that this Facebook numbers game is a bit childish and at most, not something that adults will be into. But We think there's something to it because the element of fun will come when everyone's doing it and your circle of friends will have similar numbers as their ID. Have you try this game?
